As New Jersey’s largest health care system, Saint Barnabas Health
Care System (SBHCS) presents you with the opportunity to practice your
specialty alongside a diverse team of individuals with vast talent and
expertise. Each year, more than two million patients walk through the
doors of our nearly 70 facilities — a testament to our unsurpassed
commitment to the highest standards of patient care and to our ability
to offer top-quality emergency services and facilities throughout New
Jersey.

At Saint Barnabas Health Care System, we know how
special you are to be an ED nurse, working in the most demanding department
within a hospital. That’s why we offer you a number of unique
opportunities. Here, you’ll experience the most technologically
advanced EDs around, from one of our community-based hospitals to
one of the largest on the East Coast. We also boast a philosophy of
creating best practices in our emergency departments across SBHCS.
And, you can take advantage of our training preceptors as you move
throughout the various facilities within our system.

The rewards of an SBHCS career go beyond our comprehensive suite of
work-life benefits. You will also be supported by a state-of-the-art
environment that encourages learning to help you grow your knowledge
and expand your professional options — no matter where you currently
are in your career.
SBHCS realizes that new graduate nurses are one of our richest sources
of talent. So, our Emergency Department Training Program has been developed
to offer clinical support to new graduates entering this intense arena.
Our nurse educators — who are specifically designated to the Emergency
Department — facilitate new graduate orientation by offering their
expertise. And, the depth of our experienced nurses’ knowledge
provides an even more comprehensive orientation for all nurses who challenge
themselves to work in the ED. The program is continually modified based
on participant feedback to ensure your skills are always up to date.
