Saint Barnabas Medical Center blends the essential elements of community service with advanced medical and surgical specialties to care for patients throughout the state. Founded in 1865, the institution treats more than 40,000 inpatients and 50,000 Emergency Department patients each year. The Medical Center and the Ambulatory Care Center provide treatment and services for over 300,000 outpatient visits annually. Our staff of dedicated physicians, nurses and health professionals is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care and health education to the community and to the region.

• The Burn Center, New Jersey’s only certified burn treatment facility
• The HEART HOSPITAL of New Jersey, a world-class cardiac surgery program in affiliation with Newark Beth Israel Medical Center
• The Saint Barnabas Health Care System Renal Transplant Centers, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, form one of the largest programs among 240 in the nation
• The Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science, widely recognized as one of the country’s leading assisted reproductive technology programs
• The Cancer Center’s Comprehensive Oncology Program, historically treating more newly diagnosed cancer patients than any other hospital in the state
